Graduate Incentive Award- Nursing

Offered by the MUSC Office of Student Engagement, the Graduate Incentive Award is awarded to students who are committed to practicing in South Carolina upon graduation. Students must be full-time and remain in good academic standing while receiving the award. In furtherance of the University’s commitment to improve health outcomes for minorities through training and establishing a diverse healthcare workforce in South Carolina, particular attention will be given to applicants from underrepresented groups.

  1. I understand that if I receive this award, I must agree to the terms below (please initial):

    “The Undersigned agrees to maintain normal progress and good academic standing in the educational program for which the award funds were received. Upon graduation, the undersigned agrees to maintain residence and employment in South Carolina for one calendar year for each $5,000 or portion thereof received. The undersigned further agrees that while at the institution, they will not accept any stipend, grant, award, or loan requiring that the undersigned practice their profession in a state other than South Carolina for one calendar year. The undersigned further agrees to keep the institution informed of enrollment status changes, address, and employment while at the institution and for the period described”.
