Jeremy Chen Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Jeremy Chen, a first-year student in the College of Medicine from August 2020 until May 2021, was diagnosed with colon cancer shortly after beginning his medical studies. During the nine months he spent battling this cancer, Jeremy demonstrated immeasurable courage and dignity – all while studying and doing well in his coursework. His strength in the face of such overwhelming adversity made a lasting impression on everyone in the entire medical school. In loving memory of this remarkable young man, the Jeremy Chen Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established by his parents, Drs. Nian-yi and Wen Y. Chen.
