Rakesh P. Chokshi, M.D. and Brinda M. Chokshi, M.D. Endowed Scholarship

Drs. Rakesh and Brinda Chokshi are both 1993 graduates of the MUSC College of Medicine. They established this scholarship to aid students who are striving to pursue a medical degree. In furtherance of the University’s commitment to improve health outcomes for all South Carolinians and to encourage those who are inspired to serve in rural, economically disadvantaged, or medically underserved communities, this scholarship will be awarded to residents of South Carolina who exhibit academic merit and financial need. Particular attention will be given to applicants who are residents of the Pee Dee area, first generation in their family to attend college, and/or with service history in rural areas or medically underserved areas. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming student with continuation, pending satisfactory academic and professionalism progress.
