Glassman Family Endowed Scholarship
Dr. Armand Glassman was graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1964 and specialized in transfusion medicine and blood banking. Dr. Glassman is a professor emeritus of the MUSC Department of Microbiology and Immunology and has held positions at Vanderbilt, MD Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas Health Science Center as well. He has also served on the Hollings Cancer Center Citizen’s Advisory Council.
Selection Criteria:
- Intercollegiate athletics required
- Merit – top 25% of undergraduate class
- Awarded to an incoming student with continuation, pending outstanding academic (upper 50% of the class) and professionalism progress
- If no applicant meets the requirements, the scholarship is not awarded
