George C. McTeer Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of the late Dr. George McTeer, Charleston resident and dental advocate. Dr. McTeer was a 1974 alumnus of the College of Dental Medicine and first African-American dentist to graduate from MUSC. This scholarship will be awarded to student who demonstrates financial need and embodies Dr. McTeer’s positivity and professionalism. In furtherance of the University’s commitment to improve health outcomes for minorities through training and establishing a diverse healthcare workforce, particular attention will be given to applicants from underrepresented groups.
