Dr. Sekou Dakarai Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship supports students pursuing a DNP who are interested in a career in the area of psychiatry/mental health. Students must have financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. In furtherance of the University’s commitment to improve health outcomes for all South Carolinians and to encourage those who are inspired to work in rural, economically disadvantaged, or medically underserved communities, this scholarship is offered with preference given to individuals who are from a rural area, and/or with service or work history in rural areas or medically underserved areas.
